Positions held

From 1984-85 to 1989-90 she taught Catalan language and literature in a free course sponsored by the Fundació Congrés de Cultura Catalana at the University of Perugia

From 1988-89 to 1989-90 she was a senior lecturer of Catalan Literature at the Chair of “Romance Philology” at the University of Macerata

From 1996 to 2006 she was a Researcher at the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy of the Tor Vergata University of Rome

From 2006 she is an Associate Professor of Spanish Literature at the Faculty Lettere e Filosofia (Faculty of Literature and Philosophy) of the Tor Vergata University of Rome

From 2022 she is Full Professor of Spanish Literature at the Faculty Lettere e Filosofia (Faculty of Literature and Philosophy) of the Tor Vergata University of Rome

During academic years 2016-2017, 2017-2018, and 2019-2020, she is visiting professor at the Pontificia Facoltà Teologica Teresianum in Rome

Fields of research

Her areas of expertise are: Catalan Modernism, The Generation of ’98, 20th Century Poetry (form Darío to Unamuno, Ganivet, D’Ors, Jiménez, Lorca, Hernández, Alberti, Rosales, Juan Carlos Mestre), with special regard to inter-artistic and transmedia dynamics and themes inherent to Spanish mysticism and their reception in modern literature (Ramon Llull, Juan de la Cruz, Teresa de Jesús)
